The University of Malta has recently changed the course structure leading to the qualification that enables a graduate to register as a pharmacist. The new entry level qualification to the profession of pharmacy shall be the MPharm degree. This consists of a two cycle education, namely- 4 years leading to a BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences followed by a three semester cycle leading to the degree of M. Pharm.
In view of this change the Kamra ta’ l-Ispizjara has asked the Pharmacy Council to duly and favourably consider issuing a certificate of equivalence to all registered pharmacists having as qualification a PhC, BPharm, BPharm (Hons) to date up to BPharm (Hons) graduates in 2015.
Any pharmacists who would like further information or clarifications are requested to send an e-mail to info@spizjara.org.
