Patient Centred Care: A Visionary Paradigm Shift

  on Monday 4th June at 7.30pm

 Presentations by John Raymond Anderson, Commonwealth Pharmacists Association (CPA) President and President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland and Ms. M. A. Sant Fournier, Malta Chamber of Pharmacists, President.

 The seminar will address how pharmacists can enable patients to make better use of their treatment – the way forward

Discussion will focus on how health care professionals can collaborate together to enable patients to have access to treatment that they need and to make the best use of it for better outcomes and quality of life.

– Enabling patients to make the best use of their treatment: Commonwealth and European experiences.

–  Address about pharmaceutical services being rendered, medicines review, specific services to manage conditions, anticoagulant service.

– Also training allowance, remunerations of these services through NI, pharmacists’ prescriber.

– The Chamber’s Visionary Paradigm Shift   (Time-line, present, vision – POYC to further development of new models of the pharmacy system; .PMRs, ICT, seamless care – recognition of pharmacists’ services, seamless care between primary and secondary care)

Light refreshments will follow the presentations.  Annual Membership fee (50Euro) may be paid at the door.  A one-time fee per seminar of 15 Euros is applicable for non-members.

NB:  Entrance and parking into Valletta after 5pm is free.  St. Paul Street is easily accessible from near Castille roundabout.  Dar l-Ewropa is situated on the right hand-side two blocks further up from The Times building and right behind the old market building.
