28th September 2021. This session was fully dedicated to prognosis scenarios of the Covid-19 pandemic. The symptomatology of Covid-19 infection and available treatment modalities were explained. The aftermath of Covid – 19 infection including “long covid “ was also addressed. The role of the different sars-cov-2 variants, reported to date, in perpetuating the Covid-19 pandemic, were analysed. Covid -19 vaccines were also discussed in this context and the context of pharmacovigilance, immunity and the applications of third and booster doses.
